The Act allows personal information to be collected, used and disclosed for the purposes for which it was collected in accordance with the Act. This Privacy Policy only applies to the extent we collect, use and disclose personal information in connection with this website. What Information Do We Collect?

Begmarz Pty Ltd does not collect your personal information unless you choose to provide that information to us. When you choose to provide us with your personal information, you are taken to have read, and agreed to the collection, use, disclosure and handling of your personal information in accordance with this policy.

There are many aspects of the site which can be viewed without providing personal information, however, for access to future Begetis Estate Agents customer support features you are required to submit personally identifiable information. This may include but is not limited to a unique username and password, or a requirement to provide sensitive information in the recovery of a lost password.

Begmarz Pty Ltd collects and uses personal information from their: clients, prospective clients, attendees at rental and property open for inspections, as well as visitors to their website. This information is collected to provide you with services relating to the buying, selling and leasing of properties, in addition to responding to your requests, questions and comments.

Personal information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. The personal information we collect will depend on the service or services we provide to you. It may include: your name, residential or business address, contact phone numbers, email address; family details; employment details; your financial information, including assets, liabilities, income, outgoings, spending patterns and credit reference reports; value of your property; insurance details; credit card and banking details; sensitive information; credit related information; information in respect to a will or estate; references; copies of photo identification (e.g. driver's licence, passport, student ID); or any other personal information relevant to the service we are providing to you. For individuals applying for a job with Begetis Estate Agents, your name, contact details, work history, references and other information relevant to assessing applicants will be collected.

Sensitive information is a subset of personal information and is defined as: information or an opinion (that is also personal information) about an individual's: racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious beliefs or affiliations, philosophical beliefs, membership of a professional or trade association, membership of a trade union, sexual orientation or practices, or criminal record.

Property Management

To identify and/or verify the identity of any prospective or actual landlord or tenant for any property we manage or propose to manage;
To process and assess any application received in relation to a tenancy or lease of any property;
To advertise, market and promote any tenancy or lease of any property;
To negotiate and prepare any tenancy agreement, lease or any other document for any property;
To liaise and exchange information with the landlord or the tenant as well as their agents, contractors, legal, financial and other advisors in relation to or in connection with any tenancy or lease of the property;
To manage any tenancy or lease agreement including the collection of rent and other amounts on behalf of the landlord and the preparation of required statements of account;
To ensure the safety and security of landlords, existing occupiers and their property in connection with the inspection of any property by prospective tenants;
To comply with any applicable law in connection with the tenancy agreement or lease;
To confirm whether the landlord or tenant is registered for GST purposes;
And to inform an individual about any other rental property that we are managing or any other service that we provide, unless that individual instructs us not to (this is referred to as direct marketing).

Sales

To identify and/or verify the identity of any prospective or actual vendor for any property we list as the sales agent;
To advertise, market and promote the sale of any property;
To negotiate and manage the sale of any property (including to provide non legal assistance with the exchange of the contract for the sale of property and the preparation of any required statements of account);
To liaise and exchange information with the vendor, purchaser (including any prospective purchaser) as well with their respective agents, contractors, legal, financial and other advisors in relation to or in connection with the sale of the property;
To ensure the safety and security of vendors and existing occupiers and of each of their property in connection with auctions and the inspection of any property by prospective purchasers;
To comply with any applicable law in connection with the sale of the property;
To confirm whether the vendor or purchaser is registered for GST purposes;
And to inform an individual about any other property that we are selling or any other service that we provide, unless that individual instructs us not to (this is referred to as direct marketing).

Why Do We Collect This Information?

Begmarz Pty Ltd may use your personal information to: assist in advising you of other services or information which may be of interest; put you in contact with other businesses who can be of assistance; directly market, promote and/or advertise Begetis Estate Agents; and for our own statistical or research purposes, provide you with our property services including providing appraisals of properties, acting as a real estate agent for the buying and selling of properties, leasing properties, advertising properties, business broking, providing conveyancing and property settlement services, and aggregation, connection and disconnection of utility services, for recruitment, employment, for any purpose required or permitted by law, for any purpose disclosed to you and to which you have consented and would otherwise reasonably expect.

If you do not provide us with the personal information we request, we may or may not be able to provide you with some or all of Begmarz Pty Ltd services, or be able to provide you with specific information or responses to your requests or questions.

Begmarz Pty Ltd may collect, hold and disclose your information to other entities such as, contractors and service providers, who assist Begmaz Pty Ltd in providing their services or in connection with their purpose.

Automated Decision Making (ADM)

ADM is when we utilise a computer program to make, or execute something that is substantially and directly related to making a decision; and the decision could reasonably be expected to significantly affect the rights or interests of an individual.

Information Disclosed

We will use and disclose personal information only for the purposes for which it is collected in accordance with the Act, including:

Providing services and customer support, including service updates;
Maintaining and updating our records;
Comparing information for accuracy, and verifying it with third parties; and
Providing information as authorised or required by law or a relevant government body or authority.

Overseas disclosure

We do not disclose personal information overseas.

We may use cloud storage and IT servers that may be located overseas to store the personal information we hold. As electronic or networked storage can be accessed from various countries through an internet connection it is not always practical to know in which country information about an individual may be held.
